Sherry Stringfield.
LOS ANGELES — It has been five years since Sherry Stringfield left "ER" to "get a life." The actress, who played Dr. Susan Lewis for the first three seasons of the medical drama, says that having a baby almost seven months ago gave her a new appreciation for the consistency of series television. It was revealed to be about Sherry Stringfield and Noah Wyle, and how the way he treated her was the real reason she left the first time. I don't know if these sort of gossip columns are that reliable though, it would also be a bit strange then that she would ever return ( and be in a storyline where she was in a relationship with Noah Wyle's ... I'm doing an ER rewatch. I'm curious about something. What ever happened to Sherry Stringfield? She was absent from the ER reunion last year and she apparently couldn't make it to the Guiding Light one. She hasn't worked in a while either. Is she okay?.
I'm amazed Sherry Stringfield was allowed back on ER after she quit the show before her contract was up and when writers were preparing a major arc for her character until she decided fame wasn't for her and decided to leave. At least, on NYPD Blue, she only did 1 season and nobody remembered her but on ER, she was a lead character. Sherry Stringfield’s decisions were for personal reasons. She prioritized what she wanted to do and not what others wanted her to do. That had consequences for both the tv show and her. I originally watched ER 1st run. It was devastating when Susan left the 1st time. I remember being really upset. My wife at the time cried. Sherry Stringfield (Susan Lewis) leaving ER was a major blow. I would have rather seen Carol (Julianna Margulies) go in her place The mopey, sad girl she had going got tired very quickly and I felt Carol didn't do much in her last years, she was just there. Ming-Na (Jing-Mei Chen), Alex Kingston (Elizabeth Corday), and Sherry Stringfield (Susan Lewis) were all pregnant in real life when their characters were. Conni Brazelton also was pregnant when nurse Connie was expecting in season 2. Had I been Sherry Stringfield, I’d have seen the pilot as a launching pad to an amazing role on a new show - not the chance to play second-most compelling female lead in the second-most compelling relationship. I really liked the arcs they gave her, but I do wonder how Carol’s sudden presence affected Sherry’s perception of her character. These are the characters I’ve seen smoke on the show: Mark Greene, Susan Lewis, John Carter, Abby Lockhart. I think Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfield and Maura Tierney do/did smoke in real life but I doubt Noah Wyle does. I noticed they stopped showing at.
